Project book reviewed in European Journal of Population
We are delighted to say that the project book, "Towards Bayesian Model-Based Demography: Agency, Complexity and Uncertainty in Migration Studies", was reviewed in Vol. 38 (2022) of European Journal of Population by Dr Thomas Fent from Vienna Institute for Demography. The book was praised for presenting "an exceptional approach [that] is not yet state of the art in computational models", especially with respect to striving for greater realism of the modelled decision processes, but also the use of the overarching Bayesian framework. The review concludes by suggesting that the project work is "laying the foundation for the next steps in the field of simulation models in the social sciences" and the book "has the potential to advance the art of modelling in the social sciences". The full review can be read on the journal website.
