On 29 June - 1 July 2022, Jakub Bijak took part in the 19th Annual Conference of the IMISCOE network of European migration researchers, which took place in a hybrid form, on the OsloMet campus in Oslo, as well as online.

Jakub gave talk at the opening plenary on "The Temporal Turn in Migration Studies: A Quant View" and also presented a contributed paper "Theorising Migration through Simulation Modelling: An Interdisciplinary Tale", with Martin Hinsch, Souhila Belabbas, Ariana Modirrousta-Galian and the whole BAPS project team. The paper, a high-level summary of the key ideas and findings from the project, was presented in Session 215 on Methodological Innovation in Migration Studies, and prompted a fascinating discussion with the audience on many aspects of the work, from technicalities to ethics.
