Presentation at the ASN 2022 Convention, 4 - 7 May 2022
On 4-7 May 2022, Souhila Belabbas attended the virtual 2022 Annual World Convention of the Association for the Study of Nationalities (ASN). Among other activities, on 6 May Souhila presented a project paper "Refugee Journeys—Information, Networks, Resources and Chance" in the panel session on Refugee Journeys, Policies, and Laws. The paper summarises the results of the ethnographic study carried out amongst Syrian and Afghan refugees in the United Kingdom and selected other European countries. Besides its own theoretical and discursive contribution, the results presented in the paper will serve to further validate the assumptions on the mechanisms of migrant journeys used for modelling elsewhere in the project.
