On 9 August 2018, the project team organised an away day, combining a research meeting devoted to specific computational aspects of migration modelling with a homemade picnic. The meeting was then followed by an optional seven-mile hike through New Forest, from Beaulieu Road Station to Brockenhurst, completed in just under 2.5 hours in a glorious summer weather.
